On January 13, PCAMS 6th-graders took a field trip to Junior Achievement BizTown. At BizTown, the scholars were able to utilize the information and skills learned in business class to operate businesses in the city of BizTown. Scholars were assigned jobs at the following businesses: First Tennessee Bank, City Hall, FedEx Delivery and Supply Center, Smith & Nephew Research and Technology, Target Sign Shop, Radio Station/Broadcast Center, Web Page Design, The Daily News, SunTrust Professional Offices, Baptist Wellness/Fitness, ...

On Nov. 30, 29 PCA middle-school and high-school scholars volunteered their time at the Mid-South Food Bank. The scholars attended a brief orientation, during which they learned the history of the food bank and the guidelines for sorting food items.  In addition to sorting thousands of cans and boxes of food, the scholars also donated 492 pounds of food, which had been collected during the PCA food drive. This 492 pounds is the equivalent of 1,082 meals!
